Glasswashers are designed for glassware and bar use, with a lower door opening. Dishwashers take taller plates, trays and utensils.

3. Power, water and space

Many underbench models run on a 15A outlet. You'll also need a water connection and a drain. Measure under your counter, allowing room for the door to open.

4. Water quality

Hard water leaves spots on glasses and scale inside the machine. Consider a water filter or softener if your area has hard water.
